Joey Coulter and his Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates went to Smokey Mountain Speedway last week in preperation for this month's much anticipated Inagural Mudsummer Classic - the first-ever dirt race for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. While Coulter has experience on dirt in the ARCA Racing Series at DuQuoin State Fairground in DuQuoin, Il and Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Il and races his Dirt Super Late Model every chance he get's, he knows that no test will prepare him or his Truck Series companions for what the series will experience when they invade Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH on Wednesday, July 24.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Joey Coulter is a man of many talents and when he's not racing at high speeds he likes to pick up his Dean Guitar and strum a few chords...

After a two-day test in preparation for the UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway, two solid practice sessions and his best starting position of 2013, Joey Coulter, driver of the No. 18 Darrell Gwynn Foundation Toyota Tundra, was confident that his thoroughbred had the horsepower to come storming out of the gates in the Bluegrass State and be a contender down the stretch. However, an ill-handling Tundra in traffic and a last-lap spin would relegate the Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) driver to a 16th-place finish in the eighth race on the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule.

After three weeks off, Joey Coulter and the No. 18 Darrell Gwynn Foundation team head to Kentucky Speedway for this week’s UNOH 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event. After a disappointing 25th-place finish in his last outing at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Coulter couldn’t think of a better place than the 1.5-mile oval to get back on track for 2013. In his last visit to the “Bluegrass State,” Coulter started on the pole and led 39 laps en route to a fourth-place finish in the 2012 Kentucky 201, a track-best for the Miami Springs, Fla. native. In fact, out of the seven 1.5-mile venues that the NCWTS visits in 2013, Coulter’s stats at Kentucky Speedway are the strongest; one pole, 47 laps led, one top-five, three top-10 finishes and 99.7 % of laps completed.

In preparation for next month’s Inaugural Mudsummer Classic NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway, Joey Coulter will get down and dirty in the dirt at various dirt short tracks around Tennessee, Alabama and even Eldora Speedway, prior to the Truck Series feature at the half-mile clay oval. Coulter will pilot his own No. 2 Wolf-Pack Racing Dirt Super Late Model at the following tracks in July:

Joey Coulter headed to the “Lone Star State” with high hopes of roping in another solid finish at the track known as the, “Wild Asphalt Circus.” Unfortunately, a cut left rear tire just 54 laps into the WinStar World Casino 400 would deflate Coulters chances of bringing home a cowboy hat for his 23rd birthday.

Toyota NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Notes & Quotes: Texas Motor Speedway, June 6, 2013

Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, known as the “No Limit’s Wild Asphalt Circus,” is the host of the seventh race on the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule. The fast mile-and-a-half track is not only the home to the Toyota Tundra, but home to some impressive stats for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) driver Joey Coulter. The Toyota Tundra driver two-steps into the “Lone Star State” with the highest average finish (5.2) of any driver in the field over the last four NCWTS races and is also the only driver to finish in the top 10 in each of the last four races. In a state where horses run free, Coulter hopes that his horsepower will take him to victory lane in the 31st running of the WinStar World Casino 400k - a feat that would be sure to make his 23rd birthday on Saturday, June 8 a Texas-size memory.

Joey Coulter entered the sixth race on the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule at Dover (Del.) International Speedway on a mission to make monster-sized strides not only on the field, but in the points as well. After starting 24th, the Toyota Racing driver advanced more positions after 200 miles than any other driver in the field - gaining 16 spots on the Dover high-banks - to bring home his second top-10 finish in three starts at the “Monster Mile,” and second top 10 of the 2013 Truck Series season.
