Coulter Returns to Carolina Clash Competition

4/30/2015 Coulter Returns to Carolina Clash Competition

Charlotte NC (April 30th, 2015) - Joey "CIV" Coulter will return to Carolina Clash competition in his Rum Runner Racing Chevrolet Super Late Model on Saturday nightMay 2, 2015. This race will be CIV's third start at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA, and only his second in a Super Late Model. This track is where "CIV" made his first ever start on dirt (in a Crate Late Model).

He is looking for a good turnaround from last weekend where he ventured to Smoky Mountain Speedway after the Carolina Clash event was rained out at Wythe Raceway. Screven Motor Speedway typically boasts a great show of side by side racing while challenging the drivers with narrow but high-speed short corners.

After the teams, last successful trip to Screven Speedway, Veteran crew chief Harold Holly is looking forward to getting back to the track that got CIV's dirt career started. "It's a great little bull ring type race track that can hold a lot of grip through just about any track condition. That being said it is a track that will for sure keep you on your toes and ready for anything to happen. Hot laps will be important Saturday night to get us in good shape for qualifying and a starting spot toward the front. Track position is important at a track this small and narrow," said Harold Holly.

The gates open at 3 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. for all series. After this weekend, CIV will head back east for some local racing around the Charlotte area.
