9/30/2012 Coulter Earns Fifth Top-Five Finish of the 2012 Season

Joey Coulter and the No.22 Richard Childress Racing team earned their third pole award of the season and finished third after dominating the Smith's 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 2011 Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year led 40 laps of the 146-lap race. Pit strategy proved to be the race's deciding factor as crew chief Harold Holly called for four Goodyear tires on the team's final stop. With other teams opting to change two tires, the 22-year-old driver restarted from the seventh position and had to work his way through the field during the course of the remaining 20 laps. The Miami Springs, Fla., native took the checkered flag in the third position, gaining one spot, to fourth, in the Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings.

JOEY COULTER QUOTE:
"I just can't say enough about the No. 22 team as a whole. They worked so hard to put together this Silverado and I thought we had the truck to win this evening. It was a good points night for us and we are looking on to Talladega (Superspeedway)."
