6/26/2012 This Week's Steak-umm Chevrolet at Kentucky Speedway

This Week's Steak-umm Chevrolet at Kentucky Speedway... Joey Coulter will pilot chassis No. 018 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Camping World Truck Series stable in Thursday night's UNOH 225. This chassis has been utilized six previous times, most recently at Dover International Speedway where Coulter finished 11th. Additionally the chassis was raced during the 2011 season at Kentucky's summer and fall races, Pocono Raceway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway, with all five outings resulting in top-15 finishes.

Coulter in the Bluegrass State... Coulter has two previous starts at the 1.5-mile track in the Camping World Truck Series. In these contests, Coulter recorded two top-15 finishes; seventh in the summer and 13th in the fall. Additionally, Coulter has one start in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards at the Sparta, Ky.-based facility, in 2009, where he finished seventh.

Last Time Around: Kentucky... The Kentucky 225 ended in disappointing fashion for the Miami Springs, Fla., native. After unloading a fast Chevrolet Silverado, Coulter obtained fender damage in a pit road incident halfway through the 150-lap event. Requiring multiple stops to correct, Coulter never regained lead lap position and was relegated to a 13th-place finish.

Rewind: Texas... Coulter recorded his Camping World Truck Series career-best finish at the Ft. Worth, Texas-based race track when he finished third in the Texas 400. After rain cancelled qualifying for the event, the field was set by owner point standings with Coulter lining up 11th. The No.22 team executed near perfect pit stops and Coulter drove his way to the front, taking the checkered flag in the third position, .006 seconds behind second place.

Seven Races In... In his sophomore season with Richard Childress Racing, Coulter ranks third among drivers in the category Fastest Early in the Run, sixth in Fastest Lap Run (79), and sixth in Fastest Green Flag Speed according to NASCAR's Season-to-Date Loop Data Statistics. Additionally, he sits fourth in Quality Passes (260) and leads all drivers in Fastest Speed in Traffic.

Get to the Points... After his first top-five finish of the 2012 season, Coulter is eighth in the Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings. He is 53 points behind leader Justin Lofton.

Gone Racing... Coulter spent his break from the Camping World Truck Series racing in the ARCA Racing Series. On June 15, Coulter competed with his Coulter Motorsports team in the RainEater Water Wipers 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Earlier that morning, he accepted the challenge of a cornhole tournament issued by the track president Roger Curtis.

Meet Coulter... Coulter is scheduled to meet fans and sign autographs at Race Fest 2012 in downtown Carrollton, Ky. at 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 27.

JOEY COULTER QUOTES:
The Camping World Truck Series have had two weeks off between Texas (Motor Speedway) and this week's race at Kentucky (Speedway). Are you ready to get back into the No.22 Chevrolet Silverado Thursday night?
"I'm always ready to go racing. Even on my off weekends from the Camping World Truck Series, I'm racing. I'm either at the dirt track or racing with Coulter Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series. I'm excited about carrying the momentum from our third-place finish at Texas (Motor Speedway) into this weekend with the No. 22 Steak-umm Chevrolet team. I have some good experience at Kentucky (Speedway) and I'm ready to compete for the win."
