Rum Runner Racing Will Rejoin the Outlaws with Joey Coulter in 2017
1/9/2017January 9th 2017 (Troutman, NC)- Rum Runner Racing is pleased to announce that the 2nd year team will return full time to World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model competition, with former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race winner Joey Coulter.
After a relatively successful 2016 season, the driver team combo is gearing up for another year of full time competition. The list of 1st time experiences is longer than anyone on the team could have imagined. A lot was learned and both CIV and his veteran crew chief Harold Holly, are ready for a second try at the grueling schedule.
The core part of the team will be made up of the same people as in 2016. Harold Holly remains the crew chief for the Rum Runner Racing No. 2 with Georgia’s Person Lee Williams “P.L” turning wrenches and Michael Reynolds “Stix” handling tires. With this core group on the road again, Coulter is ready to fine tune the skills that were learned last year.
Coulter will fly the No. 2 again this year on his Rocket XR-1 chassis. In addition to the familiar number, many of Rum Runner Racing’s partners are returning as well. Broward Armature & Generator have renewed their partnership for the entire year. Simpson Race Products and Simpson World East have also continued their long-term alliance with Coulter. Finally, Molecule has also extended their partnership to remain the official cleaning product of Rum Runner Racing. Racers and race fans can purchase Molecule products via http://www.moleculemotorsports.com/ and use special code rumrunner15 to receive an exclusive discount.
“We are all extremely grateful to have all of our partners returning for the 2017 season. We really couldn’t do it without them. Over the years, I have seen many partnerships that teams treat very one sided. That is something that we avoid. Any partnerships that we form are designed to benefit both parties. I think everyone coming back on board and new partnerships being announced in the next few days, we can say that we are doing a pretty good job with that.” -Joey Coulter-
