  • Joey Returns to Seat of No. 54 Monster Energy Camry at Chicagoland

    7/17/2013
A familiar name will return over the door of the Monster Energy Camry this weekend, that of a young driver tackling the 1.5-mile D-shaped, tri-oval of Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway in Joliet, for the first time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) driver Joey Coulter will have the wheel of the No. 54 Toyota on Sunday with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) in the STP 300 event. It will be the second of three Nationwide Series races this season in which Coulter is supporting the JGR/KBM Monster Energy program, initially at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway and again September 21 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Coulter’s Alabama run was strong, where he led three times and was within the top-10 in the final laps of the event, however, a late-race accident relegated the No. 54 team to a 21st-place finish.

  • Iowa Speedway – A Field of Dreams

    7/9/2013
Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) has 20 Truck Series victories since making its debut in 2010, however, Iowa Speedway is one of nine tracks on the 2013 schedule that the young organization has not yet conquered. Joey Coulter and his No. 18 Darrell Gwynn Foundation team hope to change that stat in this weekend’s American Ethanol 200 presented by Enogen at Iowa Speedway. Although the team has had their share of heartaches in the first eight races of the season, Coulter feels as though the team is focused and has what it takes to make a little noise in the remaining 14 races - starting with this weekend’s first of two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event’s in the Hawkeye State.

  • LAST LAP SPIN RELEGATES COULTER TO A 16TH-PLACE FINISH AT KENTUCKY

    6/28/2013
After a two-day test in preparation for the UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway, two solid practice sessions and his best starting position of 2013, Joey Coulter, driver of the No. 18 Darrell Gwynn Foundation Toyota Tundra, was confident that his thoroughbred had the horsepower to come storming out of the gates in the Bluegrass State and be a contender down the stretch. However, an ill-handling Tundra in traffic and a last-lap spin would relegate the Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) driver to a 16th-place finish in the eighth race on the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule.

  • LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK AT KENTUCKY

    6/24/2013
After three weeks off, Joey Coulter and the No. 18 Darrell Gwynn Foundation team head to Kentucky Speedway for this week’s UNOH 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event. After a disappointing 25th-place finish in his last outing at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Coulter couldn’t think of a better place than the 1.5-mile oval to get back on track for 2013. In his last visit to the “Bluegrass State,” Coulter started on the pole and led 39 laps en route to a fourth-place finish in the 2012 Kentucky 201, a track-best for the Miami Springs, Fla. native. In fact, out of the seven 1.5-mile venues that the NCWTS visits in 2013, Coulter’s stats at Kentucky Speedway are the strongest; one pole, 47 laps led, one top-five, three top-10 finishes and 99.7 % of laps completed.
