Coulter Prepares for World 100 Debut

(September 7th, 2016 Troutman, NC)- World of Outlaw Craftsman Late Model Series regular Joey Coulter, has had a season full of new experiences. Coulter, along with his crew at Rum Runner Racing will add another first time experience to their already long list.

Held at the famous Eldora Speedway, the 46th Annual World 100 is the next event on the schedule for the rookie team and driver. This historic race has been held each year since 1971, and is considered to be one of the most prestigious races to win in the dirt late model realm.

Coulter and his longtime crew chief Harold Holly, have both competed at Eldora before, in the inaugural Mud Summer Classic with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The duo finished 3rd place with the #18 Toyota that Coulter was driving for Kyle Bush Motorsports that season. Although neither Coulter nor Holly expect to see many similarities during this trip, the two are relying on some of the experiences that they have had this season.

“We have seen so much this year, it’s hard to explain everything that we have learned. Even with all of the different tracks, surfaces, and tires that we have run, we have never encountered anything like Eldora. Hopefully, some of what we have gathered this year will give us a shot at making the show on our first try. If we can do that, I will go ahead and call this season a success.” – Joey Coulter
Harold Holly is confident that he and his driver have just as good of a shot as any, to make the 46th Annual World 100.

“This kind of racing is tough. This race in particular is even more challenging because of all of the history and prestige behind it. We have worked really hard all year, and every one of us at Rum Runner Racing has learned a lot. Every time we leave a race, we go to the next one with more experience and knowledge than we had before. That is why I think we are going to have a really successful weekend.” - Harold Holly
