Joey Coulter Launches CIV Driver Optimization

9/17/2015 Joey Coulter Launches CIV Driver Optimization

Huntersville, N.C. (September 17, 2015) - A large percentage of race car drivers know how to drive, and, for the most part, they know how to race. What separates the good drivers from the champion drivers is optimizing utilizations of the tools that are available to them. That is, learning how to study, and learning the sport in a way that can be beneficial to them on and off the track. For the first time, a service is available to teach drivers how to correctly "optimize" these tools. NASCAR race-winning driver Joey Coulter is happy to announce the launch of "CIV Driver Optimization."

CIV Driver Optimization is a program that aims to teach drivers to be students of the sport through preparation and post-race techniques developed and used by Coulter himself. The program teaches drivers how to critique themselves, their equipment, and their competition. This is more than traditional driver coaching; it's CIV Driver Optimization.

Joey Coulter is a proven winner. With over 17 years of driving experience, including four seasons in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series where he won one race, three poles, and scored multiple top-five and top-10 finishes, he understands what it takes to be successful at the highest levels of motorsports. In addition to NASCAR success, Coulter has won races in several other forms of racing, including asphalt and dirt late model racing, as well as the ARCA Racing Series. For the first time, Coulter is offering his knowledge to other racers through "CIV Driver Optimization."

"I have been racing for a long time compared to most driver my age and I have been very fortunate to have been able to race a number of different vehicles," Coulter said. "When I was developing as I driver through the early 2000's, I found that writing things down after a race really helped me pull more information out of my racecar and pass it to my crew chief. The more I did it, the better the information got. The better the information was, the more effective changes my crew chief could make. The more effective changes led to winning more trophies to put in the trophy case. What I started doing almost ten years ago is exactly what I am doing now and offering to the racing community. CIV Driver Optimization does exactly what the name says. Optimization, by definition, is an act, process, or methodology of making something (as a design, system, or decision) as fully perfect, functional, or effective as possible. CIV Driver Optimization is where drivers learn to race."
