Joey Coulter “Fuels Up” with Rip It Energy Drinks

Dynamic Duo Set to Begin a Multi-Year Partnership at Daytona

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (1/29/2010) – 2009 ARCA Series standout Joey Coulter has been anxiously awaiting this moment since first stepping foot in the historic racing series, just shy of one year ago . . . that proud moment when he would announce a sponsorship, and a new opportunity that he would embark on.  Although moments like these are few and far between, Coulter Motorsports officials announced on Thursday a new multi-year sponsorship with Rip It® Energy Fuel starting in the new 2010 ARCA season.

“This is a very exciting time for not only me, but for my entire team,” exclaimed an ecstatic Joey Coulter. “To be able to announce a sponsorship during these hard times is monumental and I want to thank Rip It Energy Fuel and everyone who helped make this possible. This is going to be an exciting year and I can not wait to get back to racing with Rip It Energy Fuel onboard.”

Coulter’s new sponsor, Rip It Energy Fuel by National Beverage Corp. (NASDAQ: FIZZ) is available in fifteen exhilarating flavors, including three sugar-free varieties. Great-tasting and power-packed, Rip It provides REAL energy for REAL people at a REAL value. In an office, on the job, on a mountain, riding waves, doin’ flips, doin’ tricks, jammin’ all night, crammin’ all night, whatever your life calls for, Rip It is there to fuel you.  Crack open an ice-cold Rip It Power and Feel the REAL Taste of BOLD energy surge through your body. Or maybe you prefer the sweet taste of Sugar FREE Citrus X to slap your tongue back to life. Rip It Energy Fuel has the complete line of Regular and Sugar FREE flavors in both 16 oz cans and 20 oz re-sealable bottles to make Rip It a REAL part of your everyday life.

The multi-year partnership between Rip It Energy Fuel, Joey Coulter and Coulter Motorsports will take stage together for the first time beginning with the ARCA season opener on February 6, 2010 at Daytona International Speedway. In Daytona, fans will be able to see on display the newly designed No. 16 Rip It Energy Fuel, Darrell Gwynn Foundation, Tempest Cycles Chevrolet Monte Carol SS. Rip It Energy Fuel’s fresh new design will adorn the car as a primary sponsor in other select TV races in 2010. In addition to the primary sponsorship, Rip It Energy Fuel will also be a major associate sponsor on the car for the remaining ARCA races.

“For a major national company to come onboard and sponsor Joey (Coulter) and our team (Coulter Motorsports) is not only humbling but a true testament to Joey’s ability,” commented crew chief Harold Holly. “We are ready as ever to get back racing and we know Joey has what it takes to get the job done this year. We are proud to have Rip It Energy Fuel as a sponsor and we look forward to taking them to victory lane in 2010.”

Coulter looks to pick-up right where he left off as he rolls back into Daytona for the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200. After finishing his first ARCA season fourth in points, the determined racer and his team headed to the sandy beaches of Daytona for their preseason test December 18-20 2009. After three days of non-stop testing, Coulter would find himself within the top ten every session, averaging 49.858 seconds at 180.52 MPH throughout the weekend.

“Harold (Holly) and I were really pleased with our primary car. Our back-up was a little less consistent but still very good. The primary car was great by itself and really good pulling the line. It seemed like I could pull better than most, so we know the front of the car is getting through the air really good.”

Be sure to catch Joey Coulter and his No. 16 Rip It Energy Fuel, Darrell Gwynn Foundation, Tempest Cycles Monte Carlo SS in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona International Speedway LIVE on SPEED February 6, 2010 at 4:30 PM EST.
